TENTACLES at APAPs

Following an award-winning run at FRIGID NY and Pittsburgh Fringe, an excerpt from Tessa Flannery’s 50-minute comedic exploration of Japanese porn, ‘TENTACLES’ will be featured in the Horse Trade APAP Showcase at The Kraine.

The third in a series of collaborations between Flannery and director Rebecca Cunningham, and featuring Fight/Intimacy direction by Claire Warden, ‘TENTACLES’ is a timely feminist harpooning of Tentacle Porn.

Over the course of this doctoral-thesis-gone-awry, Flannery and her fellow performer slide down the slippery slope of consent, fantasy, and female sexuality through the slimy genre of Japanese pornography. In the midst of the #metoo movement, ‘TENTACLES’ asks how we reconcile our fantasies with our feminism.
